The RUT951-POE+ is a 4G LTE CAT4 router, capable of achieving mobile throughput speeds of up to 150Mbps.
It comes with x4 antennas & connectors; x2 SMA for LTE, & x2 RP-SMA for WiFi, and building on the success of the original RUT951 4G router, this enhanced version the RUT951-POE+, now features versatile Power over Ethernet (PoE+) capability with x4 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports.
This robust router boasts dual SIM card slots (Mini - 2FF), and has eSIM capabilities (Consumer type eSIM), allowing for up to up to 7 eSIM profiles, and excels in a wide variety of scenarios, from domestic home environments, to professional business offices, industrial environments, and even a wide variety of vehicles and is a great choice for use on the road in your campervan / motorhome, or even in your riverboat / narrowboat.
Unlike traditional SIM cards, an eSIM is a digital version that is integrated directly into the device's motherboard, eliminating the need for a physical card. This embedded technology is non-removable and offers greater flexibility and convenience for users.
Each device with eSIM support comes with a preinstalled bootstrap profile that includes 10MB of data, which is activated upon the device's first use. The 10MB of data is sufficient to download a dedicated eSIM profile from your service provider upon first use of your device. This feature is especially useful for deploying devices in remote locations where no alternative internet connection is available, simplifying the setup process.
Once a new eSIM profile is successfully downloaded, the bootstrap profile and all related configurations, including the bootstrap eSIM zone with its pre-configured traffic-blocking rules, are automatically removed. The newly downloaded eSIM profile is then set as the default primary SIM.
Please Note: The bootstrap profile is valid for 1 year starting from the manufacturing date of the device. After 1 year, the profile will no longer be available, meaning you will have to follow the default procedure of activating an eSIM, which requires an internet connection from another source.
In addition to the power supply included with the device, it can also be powered via 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet (PoE) through the LAN1 port. This allows for increased versatility when it comes to deciding on the location of the router since it can be a fair distance away from a standard power socket.
Conversely, ports 2, 3, and 4 (LAN2, LAN3, WAN), can be used to output PoE to other PoE-powered devices such as; WiFi Access Points, IP cameras, etc. This can help save on needing a dedicated PoE switch for powering multiple devices.
The RUT951-POE+ has x2 SMA antenna connectors for LTE, and x2 RP-SMA antenna connectors for WiFi, which means you have the option to use the indoor antennas that come with the router, or alternatively, upgrade to an outdoor antenna to enhance your connection, whether that is at home, at the office, or on the road.
This router is compatible with Teltonika's Remote Management System (RMS), enabling secure remote management to save time and expenses.
