What we do
Solwise do technical distribution. By this we mean that we do more than just shift boxes. All our products are carefully selected to represent the best value for money within their sector. If we can't offer something special in a product range we don't carry it. We also understand our products. Whether you need help selecting a product before buying, or help to get your system working when it arrives, we will be able to give quality advice. This is because we are a small company and care about your business, as well as ours.
Who we are
Solwise Ltd has been around since June 1991, some people have come and gone but in the main the Solwise people have tended to work here for a long time. You are likely to speak with the same people each time you contact us. We don’t have a long complicated telephone answering menu system; more often than not whoever answers the phone can answer your question or quickly get you to someone that can. You can rely on our friendly technical sales and back-up to make you super confident in your dealings with us. Our internal expertise is why many of our long standing customers say they’d find it hard to do what they do without us!

At Solwise we have considered adopting a quality standard such as ISO9002. After investigating these schemes we have decided not to take this route.
Although we use many of the mechanisms of the recognised schemes, such as bar-code tracking, batch testing and record keeping, we feel that the rigid imposition of a procedures-book approach would reduce rather than increase the quality of our service. This is because we understand 'quality' as representing something much more than conformance to specification, and consider that a registered scheme would damage the flexibility that we can offer our customers. Our flexibility enables us to respond quickly to customer requirements without adopting formal procedures for every exception to normal practice.
Solwise don't have a formal mission statement, it would be a little too 'management-speak' for us, however we do rather admire IBMs 'Think' and Googles 'Do no evil'. If we ever did adopt a mission statement I suspect we would definitely choose 'Care!' rather than 'Remember to fill the form in!'.

The Company Office
If you are in or around Hull, and want to call to collect your order then please be aware that we do not have a shop front. We would be happy to see you during weekday office hours but we don't open on Saturdays. If you want to call on us then here's how to find us:
From the M62:
The M62 becomes the A63. Once you have gone under the Humber Bridge, take the exit marked Hessle which takes you to Priory Way. Turn left at Priory Way, then take the next left (at the lights) onto Saxon Way. Go over the roundabout and follow the road until you come to Priory Tec Park. You will want gate 3 on your left. Follow the road and we are Unit 17.
