Overview

The EnGenius EPD4824 PoE Converter is designed to convert EnGenius products that use a 24V proprietary PoE to work with 802.3af/at PoE.

This means that the device can expand options for powering proprietary PoE devices in a much more convenient and elegant manner during deployment, such as when using a PoE Switch where you cannot disable the power on the ports, and even daisy-chaining two outdoor WiFi units together where one device features 802.3af PoE output on the secondary LAN port.

The EPD4824 supports the following EnGenius models: -

ENS202EXT, ENS500-AC, ENS500EXT-AC, EnStation5-AC, & ENS620EXT.

The EPD4824 can also be used to power Teltonika LTE routers that support 24v passive PoE.
