NET-EL-M8000 : Outdoor Layer-2 MESH AP
(Previously known as the EOA-8670)

EnGenius M8000 - Previously known as the EOA-8670.  The EnGenius Mesh Access Point is designed with IEEE802.11a/b/g standards delivering a  high performance mesh network. The product is encased in an IP-65 protection enclosure and delivers maximum scalability, high reliability in an outdoor environment. Compared with expensive T1/E1 leased lines, the Mesh network offers a cost-effective last-mile connection.  The EnGenius Mesh Access Point provides wireless connection over self-adaptation mesh backhaul (5GHz).

The M8000 can operate at 2.4GHz for long range interference. The detachable antenna design allows users to use various antennas for different deployment.  The M8000, including advanced OLSR (Optimal Link State Routing) protocol, is the industry and scalable mesh routing algorithm. It allows data to be transferred with the optimal path. WAN interface for Internet connection with Gateway mode; Power over Ethernet for both Gateway mode and Relay mode.  The M8000 provides the highest security mechanism to protect data information over wireless.

The security features include and AES backhaul link, WPA2 client access, SSL for web management. To simplify the administration tasks throughout a large area, this product also provides centralized management software. This software is based upon SNMP protocol and can be installed by computer.

Conforms to Ofcom IR2006 and IR2007. Legal for UK use in the unlicenced 5.4-5.7GHz Band B and also Ofcoms 5.7-5.8GHz Band C licensed band.  The EOA-8670 has been rebranded M8000 to fit in with the rest of the new EnGenius meshing product range.
