Website Analytics
Google Analytics
We do use standard Google Analytics on our website. We use this to track very basic information such as the device our visitors use, browser versions etc so we can use this for future website development. The information we see is how many visitors we have to the website, their country of location, browser, operating systems, Host IP address, device used and referring website along with keywords and key phrases. We can also see the behaviour pattern of our visits, for instance the route they take from page to page. We don't store the information in any of our local systems; we view this only via the Google Control Panel.
Google does have its own privacy policy but as part of the GDPR updates we can change settings with regards data collection and retention.
We have, by default, switched off the setting for 'Remarketing' and 'Advertising Reporting Features'.
With regards user and event data retention we have this set to the minimum term of 14 months.
The User-ID system allows website owners to associate engagement data from different devices and multiple sessions, so you can discover how users interact with your content over an extended period of time. We have this disabled.

AW Stats
We use AW Stats via our web hosting company, Siteground. We use this to view very basic information such as browser versions etc so we can use this for future website development. We have no control over the information that is collected but it is worth noting that we get very little information from this service.
