Overview

The Wi-TEK WI-PS311G-24V is an 11 x gigabit Ports unmanaged switch that requires no configuration and provides 8 PoE Ports. The WI-PS311G-24V desktop switch provides an easy way to expand your wired network. All 11 ports support auto-MDI/MDIX, eliminating the need to worry about the type of cable to use. Featuring full duplex mode, the WI-PS311G-24V can process data at a rate of up to 2000Mbps making it an ideal choice for expanding your high performance wired network. With innovative energy-efficient technology the WI-PS311G-24V can save up to 68% of power consumption, making it an eco-friendly solution for your home or office network.

Simply put this is a PoE out switch that outputs 24V. Normal specification PoE is 48/51V BUT a number of products use 24V PoE e.g. the EnGenius ENS500 and some of the Ubiquiti products. So if you want a switch to power these non-standard products you need something like the WI-PS311G-24V which is 24V output. The switch is supplied with a 24V/5A power supply giving a total power of 120W. There are 11 gigabit LAN ports in total with ports 1-8 having 24V PoE out. LAN ports 9, 10, 11 are gigabit data only with NO PoE out.

Featuring non-blocking switching architecture the WI-PS311G-24V forwards and filters packets at full wire-speed for maximum throughput. With 10K Jumbo frame, the performance of large files transfers is improved significantly. The WI-PS311G-24 supports IEEE 802.3x flow control for Full Duplex mode and backpressure for Half Duplex mode alleviating the traffic congestion and making WI-PS311G-24V work reliably.

The auto features of this Ethernet switch make installation plug and play and hassle-free. No configuring is required.  Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (10, 100,1000Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.
