Overview

The G1024G from IP COM is an easy-to-install 24 port Gigabit switch by IP-COM. All 24 ports offer 1000Mbps speeds, the modern ethernet standard, making it excellent for use in a large office, business and public environments in which many high-speed cable connections are necessary on the network.

The G1024G is extremely simple to install and use despite featuring many advanced switching features because its advanced features are intelligent and operate automatically, such as autosensing on each ethernet port (in order to recognise the types of cables used and provide Auto-MDIX), auto-negotiation (so that the switch always selects the fastest ethernet protocol possible depending on the physical connection) and flow control (so that data transmissions are always performed at a controlled rate so that the connection isn't overloaded).

Along with these intelligent features, the G1024G also maintains an impressive switching bandwidth of 48Gbps for optimal performance transmitting and receiving through each port at 1000Mbps. This high bandwidth capacity, in combination with its advanced modern features for streamlining performance and widening compatibility, makes this switch a great choice for use as not only a standard network switch but also for use connecting specialised terminal equipment to a network and for acting as a backbone switch to a separate gigabit network.
