Overview

The G1008 is an easy-to-install 8-port Gigabit switch by IP-COM. All 8 ports offer 1000Mbps speeds, the modern ethernet standard, making it excellent for use in both small and large networks environments such as homes, offices and public sites.

The G1008's sleek metal frame is great for heat dissipation whilst operating in silence and it also has excellent safety features such as inductive lightning protection for 4KV.

The G1008 supports jumbo frames of 9Kb, improving the overall network performance when dealing with large file transmissions, also it conforms to modern switch standards by operating with full duplex (so data can be simultaneously transmitted and received) and Auto MDI-X (so it can be used with any standard ethernet cable). It also uses a store-and-forward infrastructure to check its own data transmissions for errors, making it an extremely reliable switch.
