Solwise 500AV home plug Adapter with Selectable Dual-Band 11n WiFi
The Solwise PLV-500AV-PEWN is a 500Mbps home plug Adapter with 300Mbps Wireless N Extender 2x2 dual-band (2.4/5 GHz). The PLV-500AV-PEWN embarks on a concept of No New Wires data communications, and it transforms your in-house powerline into a networking infrastructure and a WLAN connection. It successfully reduces dead spots, increases throughput and network coverage within a home.
Surf the Internet and share data at the speed up to 500Mbps Phy rates through powerline, 300Mbps via Wireless, in any outdoor environment - and rest assured with the best security from eavesdroppers through encryption on the power circuit and WLAN.
The PLV-500AV-PEWN home plug engine is a Qualcomm Atheros AR7420 chipset. It features faster processing power, Fast Ethernet host interfaces and an enhanced analog front end. The solution is compliance with IEEE1901 and home plug AV, hence allowing hassle free
compatibility with existing home plug AV devices and other suppliers of IEEE1901 PLC (Powerline Line Communication) devices. As for the Wireless, it is using Qualcomm Atheros AR9344 2x2 2.4/5 GHz Wireless N SoC chipset.
Enhanced Quality of Service (QOS) also provides the guaranteed bandwidth reservations for multimedia payloads including TV over IP (IPTV), higher data rate broadband sharing, Online-Gaming, VoIP Calls, extending Wireless LANs coverage, Audio-Video transmission across the
network as well as Network camera connectivity.
The PLV-500AV-PEWN provides a simple connect push button for a convenient way of creating home plug networking without the need to using the Device Utility on your computer. Security is supported by 128-bit AES Hardware encryption. As for the WLAN security, it is supported by WPA, WPA2, and WAP. Ensuring the network communications is free from eavesdroppers and hackers.
Remember, you will need at least two home plug devices to form a home plug connection. More home plug AV devices can be added to further share your network.
Please note this plug is compatible with other AV products but not 85Mbps devices. It will co-exist with the 85Mbps products but not interact with them. See our compatibility chart here
