Aztech 500AV home plug Adapter with Selectable Dual-Band 11n WiFi
The Aztech PL-HL117EW home plug AV 500Mbps can transform your home power lines into a networking infrastructure. home plug is a fast and simple way to connect to the Internet with easy connection between your computers, games consoles, laptops, smart phones anywhere in your home where you have a mains socket.
With the addition of a built-in Dual Band 300Mbps, 11n 2,4GHz/5GHz Wireless Access Point, the PL-HL117EW is ideal for getting wireless access to the dead spot areas in your home. Using the switch you can select whether you need 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi.
If your Wireless Internet router is one side of your home and you need a WiFi connection the other side but there is no Wireless signal a WiFi home plug can give you a wireless signal in the area with the deadspot. After attaching a standard Ethernet adapter to your router, simply plug the WiFi home plug adapter into the mains socket in the deadspot creating a WiFi hotspot.
The adapter connected to the router, takes the Internet signal and transfers it along your mains wiring, the 2nd adapter takes the signal and distributes it via the Ethernet port directly to your device. You need at least two home plugs to create the connection.
Powered by the Qualcomm Atheros Value AR7420 chipset this 500AV adapter is compliant with IEEE1901 and Homeplug AV, allowing hassle free compatibility with existing Homeplug AV devices and other suppliers of home plug AV devices.
Enhanced Quality of Service (QOS) provides the guaranteed bandwidth required for multimedia including TV over IP (IPTV), higher data rate broadband sharing, Online- Gaming, VoIP Calls, extending Wireless coverage, Audio-Video transmission across the network as well as Network camera connectivity.
The 500AV adapters all have a configuration push button for a convenient way of creating a secure home plug network without the need to use software. Security support is by 128-bit AES Hardware encryption, ensuring the network is secure.
Remember, you will need at least two home plug devices to form a home plug connection. More home plug AV devices can be added to further share your network.
Please note this plug is compatible with other AV products but not 85Mbps devices. It will co-exist with the 85Mbps products but not interact with them. See our compatibility chart here
