IP COM 11n 300Mbps Ceiling Mount Access Point
The W300AP is a 2.4GHz 300Mbps Fit Access Point. It works with both IP COM Access Controllers, to provide the wireless solution for hotels, resorts, office buildings, campus or other similar environments. The W300AP can be mounted on the ceiling or wall to blend in with its surroundings. Compliant with PoE 802.3af, It can be deployed in areas where power outlets are scarce, or not available, through a PoE switch.
2.4GHz 300Mbps:
The W300AP transfer rates of up to 300Mbps at 2.4GHz for faster file transfers and smoother video streaming.
Ceiling Design:
Mount on ceiling or wall for a discreet look.
Compliant with PoE 802.3af:
Compliant with PoE 802.3af, the W300AP allows both power and data to be carried over a single ethernet cable, so the W300AP can be deployed in areas where power outlets are scarce or not available.
SSID to VLAN tagging:
The W300AP can be configured to broadcast up to 4 SSIDs. Each SSID can be tagged to a specified network VLAN for different user access based on established access rights.
Centralised Management:
The W300AP can be managed by the IP COM Access Controller. The network administrator can modify the description and manage SSID, Channel, Security, Output power more easily.

f/w to change FIT into FAT: this is for models sold prior to 15th March 2015 Files and instructions to turn the W300AP from FIT mode access points into FAT mode access points. In FIT mode they can only be used as part of a managed system using the CW500 Controller (this is with the CW500 on Ver 1.x f/w). The new Ver 2 f/w changes the W300AP into a FAT mode access point. What that means is the W300AP can now be used as a self-autonomous (stand alone operation) access point - no controller required for operation. As a FAT access point, configuration is done using the standard WEB GUI on address 192.168.0.254. However the W300AP still has the option for management using the CW500 (but the CW500 has to be on ver 2.x f/w - contact your supplier if you need CW500 f/w) or the new CW1000. With Ver 2 f/w the W300AP is the cheapest mainstream ceiling mount AP money can buy AND it has the option of centralised management. |
