IP-CW500

Overview

The CW500 is an access point controller to configure, manage and monitor FAT Ap's. When you power on the access points, it discovers them in the network automatically and sends the initial configuration to the Access Point. You can then manage all the online Access points description, SSID, Channel, Security, output Power along with defining different VLAN ID for the access points to bind SSID to VLAN allowing them to establish different Internet access rights. The CW500 gives you simpler network administration.

The CW500 DOES NOT provide PoE power for its access points, you will need to add PoE Injectors or a PoE switch to power these.

Centralised Management:
The CW500 can manage and monitor all the FAT APs. You can modify the description,SSID, channel, security, output power for APs. Also, you can monitor the APs and clients online status through it.

AP Automatically Discover:
After you power on the APs in the network, the APs will get the IP address from the CW500. The CW500 will then discover all the APs automatically.

Branch Network Mode:
The CW500 deploys in branch network mode, you just connect the CW500 to the core switch without changing your network topology.

SSID to VLAN tagging:
The CW500 supports VLAN functions. You can define different VLAN ID's for each port. When you manage the APs, you can tag VLAN ID to SSID to establish different Internet access rights.

5 Gigabit Ports:
Built-in five gigabit ethernet ports, up to 10x data speed as traditional Fast ethernet port to offer faster data transfer.

*Current CW500's now ONLY managed FAT type APs (W30,W45,W75,W175,W185 and W300 - all with Vr 2 f/w).*
