Teltonika RUTX09 Router and The QuMax Antenna housing
(Please note this kit will show as two separate part codes in the checkout)

Overview

The QuMax AX09M is a powerful directional 4G/LTE antenna that doubles as a waterproof enclosure for the Teltonika RUTX09 router. With a signal strength of 4-6 dB, this directional antenna is designed for scenarios in which there's direct, unobstructed line-of-sight to an LTE mast and its ability to house its own router makes it ideal for scenarios in which an external antenna has to be mounted high up and far away from the rest of the internal network.

The AX09M operates as an IP67-rated enclosure for the RUTX09, allowing the router to be positioned outside wherever the antenna can be mounted; it can even operate reliably in marine conditions such as on boats and marinas. This allows for great flexibility when deciding on an installation location because it avoids the usual limitation of the antenna needing to be within 5 metres of a router to fit within the maximum recommended cable length. This allows improves the general performance, as it eliminates any loss of signal over cabling (since the router connects directly into the antenna without a length of cable needed) and it means the antenna can be mounted in the most optimal location possible, which for a directional antenna is typically as high as is feasible.

The RUTX09 router which the AX09M is designed to enclose doesn't feature its own WiFi capabilities, so nothing is lost from having it located up outside away from network devices. The router itself will be powered via 9-30v passive PoE (Power over Ethernet), which can be run through standard Ethernet cable up to a distance of about 45-50 metres.
