Overview

QuSpot for TRB500 is an outdoor antenna designed to provide reliable wireless connectivity in a variety of environments. This product is an all in one solution that integrates a high-gain omni-directional 5G antenna with TRB500 into a single IP67 enclosure. Such integration allows implementation of new outdoor TRB500 solutions.

QuSpot for TRB500 is an ideal solution for outdoor wireless connectivity in moving applications such as transportation, yachting, boats and camping but also in city centres with high signal density.

A lightning protector may want to be considered on the Ethernet cable leading from this antenna in order to protect the internal circuit of the building/vehicle in the extremely unlikely event that the antenna itself is directly struck by lightning.

IP ratings, or Ingress Protection ratings, are a standardised benchmark of how capable a product is of withstanding ingress from foreign entities that could negatively impact its functionality. They’re helpful because terms like ‘weatherproof’ and ‘waterproof’ are unspecific terms and don’t always convey the necessary level of detail – waterproof on one device can mean it’s capable of withstanding rain. In contrast, on another device, it can mean being capable of complete submersion in water for extended periods.
