The Teltonika TRB245 Industrial LTE Cat 4 Gateway Board is equipped with a single Ethernet port, Digital Inputs/Outputs and RS232/RS485 interfaces for integration with both modern and legacy industrial equipment. The device's compact design makes it perfect for an application where a sole gadget must be granted reliable Internet connectivity and its CAT4 150Mbps capacity ensures strong performance. The TRB245 is engineered to be used in industrial applications and therefore it has a robust frame and a wide range of advanced software features such as SMS control, Firewall, Open VPN, IPsec, RMS and FOTA support.
The TRB245 features dual-SIM functionality with auto-failover, giving it reliable continuity even in scenarios where the primary connection is lost. This kind of backup recovery is valuable whether in a domestic environment or an industrial setting, highlighting the versatility of this gateway device.
The TRB245 can also be used as a simple gateway, or 'modem', for multi-WAN routers that otherwise lack a strong 4G option (since multi-WAN routers often use USB as inputs for a 4G connection, limiting the selection to unreliable USB dongles). An external antenna should always be used with the TRB245 in this scenario to ensure a strong mobile connection.
The TRB245 can even be used as a mobile gateway for devices that are installed quite remotely and don’t need to operate as part of a network, such as Raspberry Pis or other standalone computers. This capacity for remote installations is influenced by how the gateway's dual-SIM capacity, giving it a degree of reliable continuity even in areas with a tenuous connection signal.
