Overview

This powerful dual LTE Cat 6 router is designed for mission-critical applications. Two simultaneously operational LTE CAT 6 modems can provide speeds of up to 600 Mbps with both auto-switching and load balancing features. This makes this device irreplaceable in applications where losing connection is not an option, because one modem going down due to poor signal or data capacity limit doesn't hinder the operation of the second modem.

The RUTX12 features a realtime signal strength status indicator to assist with positioning an external antenna for optimal performance and also includes SMS configuration for text updates.

The wireless capabilities of the RUTX12 are superior to most other Teltonika routers, offering dual-band 802.11ac transmission with speeds of up to 867Mbps and the additional operation modes of Access Point and Station for flexibility.

The RUTX12 offers a captive portal feature with a customisable landing page for professional guest access.

The LAN capabilities of the RUTX12 are superior to all our other Teltonika routers, with 4 Gigabit LAN ports (and an additional WAN port that can be turned into a LAN port). This will render a separate network switch unnecessary in some scenarios, reducing the overall cost and complexity of the installation. Passive POE (Power Over Ethernet) can be run to the LAN1 port via a POE injector in order to provide power to the device from a more remote distance than the standard 12v PSU would allow.

The RUTX12 features a great number of antenna connectors for WiFi, Bluetooth and GNNS GPS. It also boasts 4 SMA connectors for LTE 4G, granting it the ability to be used with top-end 4X4 LTE antennas rather than the regular 2X2 antennas for the best possible signal.

4G & 5G Podcast

Video Podcast - Episode 3

Episode 3 covering the acronyms and letters surrounding 4G and 5G and what their meanings are. Where does LTE fit in? What are category classifications and their download speeds? How many antennas on a mobile router? Would you be better off with a higher category 4G router than investing in a 5G router? Steve and Louise also discuss antenna cable and the losses involved with having a too long cable which leads on to conversation about the new Teltonika networking range.

The Teltonika RUT955 and RUT850_GPS both offer GPS functions that may be of use to vehicle owners. The integrated GNSS (GPS & GLONASS) functionality enables location tracking and logging using the Teltonika Automatic Vehicle Locator (TAVL) server. If you use the Teltonika routers acrossRUT955 your fleet you can manage them all remotely. With full support of the centralised Teltonika Remote Management System you will be able to access, control and monitor all of your routers within a single platform.
Geo-fencing functionality provides additional security – you can receive SMS/Email notifications when the device moves out of a pre-defined geographical area. The location can also be received by SMS on demand.
You are not limited to the Teltonika service, you can use other platforms such as GpsGate or similar. In the RUT routers configuration table you add the information into the GPS section – details such as APN, server address and so on.

Article - Antenna Choices for your Vehicle, by Louise Barrett

The Solwise antenna range has traditionally contained antennas that have been mounted on a pole or on a wall/building/portable building but in more recent times we are seeing more antennas used on vehicles. These include a wide range of vehicles such as cars, buses, lorries, caravans, motorhomes, boats, barges and even a space agency, an F1 team, mountain rescue teams and a defence contractor have all bought antenna hardware from us so who knows where some vehicle antenna have ended up!
Across our range we offer permanent and temporary solutions for antennas to mount on your vehicle; these antennas cover WiFi solutions and Mobile Data Solutions which means we have something for most situations.
