The PANL-401 antenna is designed to be used inside & mounted on the inside of a window, but it is IP65 rated, so can also be mounted outside if needed. People with motorhomes or campervans may choose to temporarily mount this antenna on the outside of a window with the suction cups provided once they are parked up, but the antenna would need to be taken down before the vehicle is moving, as it is not suitable to be left up permanently outside whilst driving. It is also worth noting that the GPS antenna's signal may be affected if the antenna is mounted on the outside of a window, due to the position in which the GPS antenna is located within the PANL-401.
Please note that tinted windows (especially the ones with foil in) may block the incoming signal and affect the antenna's capability.
