A-MIMO-0003-V2-14

MIMO-3-14 Antenna.

Overview

The Poynting MIMO-3-14 is a high-performance 5-in-1 multi-frequency antenna housed in a single enclosure, providing x4 cellular MIMO antennas and x1 GPS (GLONASS) antenna.

Designed for seamless 2G, 3G, 4G, and emerging 5G connectivity, it supports a wide frequency range from 410 MHz to 3800 MHz ensuring compatibility with multiple network operators and future cellular technologies up to 3.8 GHz.
The MIMO-3-14 also covers the 2.4GHz WiFi frequency, so any of the Cellular cables can be used for WiFi if you so wish to do so, but we would recommend using an Antenna with dedicated WiFi cables if this is a feature you would like..

The MIMO-3-14 exceeds the performance of most competitors due to the attention to the design of this high-performance antenna. The radiation patterns of all radiating elements provide an excellent balance between omnidirectionality, pattern diversity and good radiation abilities at the desired elevation. This is an important criterion for the transportation and marine market, for which this antenna was specifically designed.

Main applications are for commercial/industrial vehicles, marine, M2M and other IoT systems using a wide range of radio technologies, while remaining futureproof over the wide frequency band.

Ultra-Wideband Cellular Coverage: Supports frequencies from 410 MHz to 3800 MHz, covering LTE and 5G applications.

Advanced 4x4 MIMO Technology: Provides enhanced signal strength, pattern diversity, and omnidirectional coverage.

Integrated GPS (GLONASS) Antenna: High-performance active GPS system for accurate positioning, operational down to -40°C.

Optimised for Transportation & Marine Use: Engineered to meet the rigorous demands of commercial vehicles, marine, and industrial applications.

Futureproof Connectivity: Ensures long-term compatibility with evolving cellular networks and IoT applications.

Superior Radiation Performance: Designed for an optimal balance between omni-directionality, diversity, and signal propagation.

Article - IP Ratings Explained, by Daniel Coombs

Article: IP Ratings Explained

IP ratings, or Ingress Protection ratings, are a standardised benchmark of how capable a product is of withstanding ingress from foreign entities that could negatively impact its functionality. They’re helpful because terms like ‘weatherproof’ & ‘waterproof’ are unspecific terms and don’t always convey the necessary level of detail.
