The WIS Networks H19G-LTE is a Cat6 4G LTE router with an integrated 19dBi directional antenna, capable of achieving throughput speeds of up to 300Mbps. Designed to be used outdoors with an IP65 durability rating, the H19G is an elegant and powerful system for building a strong home or office network out of a mobile connection by bringing together the usual router and antenna into one device while eliminating some of the common problems that such a system will often encounter.
The H19G-LTE uses an intuitive web-based interface for settings configuration and monitoring and can be used with any UK/EU micro-SIM card. The system is powered by 24v PoE, allowing for flexibility when it comes to finding the optimal mounting location.
One of the key advantages of this system integrating a router with an antenna is that it avoids the usual signal gain loss that is caused by connecting a separate external antenna to a mobile router over cables. This system doesn't use cable and therefore doesn't run into any signal dB loss, allowing the system to take full advantage of the strong signals it's capable of reaching.
As a directional device, the H19G's antenna works best with direct, unobstructed line-of-sight to a mobile mast. If there isn't such a mast within line-of-sight then the performance level cannot be guaranteed and an omni-directional antenna might be viewed as the preferable option.

Episode 3 covering the acronyms and letters surrounding 4G and 5G and what their meanings are. Where does LTE fit in? What are category classifications and their download speeds? How many antennas on a mobile router? Would you be better off with a higher category 4G router than investing in a 5G router? Steve and Louise also discuss antenna cable and the losses involved with having a too long cable which leads on to conversation about the new Teltonika networking range.
