Overview
The WallPlug POE Injector, POE-48WALLADAPTER, is suitable for use with products that support Power over Ethernet. You simply plug the injector into a mains power outlet, and then use an Ethernet cable to connect the injector to the device. It’s a cost effective, aesthetic solution for deploying POE Wireless Access Points in indoor or outdoor environments where the power source is not readily available or power cables are not permitted. In Cat5 ethernet cables there are usually four pairs of twisted pairs are used as the medium for transmission with the actual data transmission using two pairs of wires (pairs 1-2 and 3-6) (100M LAN). The POE technology utilizes the remaining pairs (pairs 4-5 and 7-8) to transmit the power to the POE device. This helps simplify data and power delivery to the device.
