Senao is a global leader in communications manufacturing. They continue to work on technology designed for both voice and data applications. Aiming to be the designer, developer, and manufacturer, they maintain a strong design team as well as a complete manufacturing facility in Taiwan. With millions of networking and connectivity products manufactured and supplied to more than 70 countries, Senao are a major player in the WPABX, WLAN and PLAM (private local area mobile phone) market.

The major manufacturing base of Senao Networks, which is certified by ISO9001, is located in Hwa-Ya Technology Park, Tao-Yuan County, Taiwan. Annual capacity for PLAM is over 29,000 sets; WPABX is also over 29,000 sets and WLAN client modules are over 3.8(M) units. Senao offer their communications products OEM/ODM/OBM - OEM/ODM partners include D-Link, Netgear, AT&T, Belkin, RCA, Sonicwall, SMC Networks, Tranzeo, Telefonica, & Zyxel.

In October 2006 EnGenius Networks came into being. EnGenius is a spin-off company which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Senao International Co., Ltd. They have 450 employees worldwide. Business focus at EnGenius is within the Wireless, VoIP & Wired networking markets. The build quality on the EnGenius brand from Senao is second to none. Transmit and receive sensitivity is excellent and this is what separates out the regular wireless kit from the excellent wireless kit!

There are two research and development centres, one in Taiwan and one in Seattle (USA). Avergage R&D spends is 10% of the company's revenue. The industry average is just 2 to 5%.

Manufacturing is carried out in Taiwan. The factory is 36,300 square feet. The factory is based in Taoyuan which is only 10km from the airport.

Manufacturing quality is highly controlled. Tests for reliability include storage temperature test, low temperature test, high temperature test, temperature & humidity test, life test, E.S.D., vibration test, drop test, mean time between failure prediction, and on going reliability tests. There is an environmental test chamber which operates from -40° right up to 150°.
